Jain Temples in India

There are many Jain tirtha (pilgrimage sites) throughout India.

Northern India
Uttar Pradesh

  • Hastinapur, holy destination comprising of a collection of temples and pilgrimage locations


Haryana

  • sector-4, Gurgaon, shri Shantinath jain Swetambar Temple/Mandir
    Pratishted in 1995, The temple is run by Shree Atamnand jain shwetambar shee sangh sector-4, Gurgaon.

The moolnayak bhagwaan of the temple/mandir is shri Shantinath Bhagwaan. The other gods in the temple are lord Valabh Parashnath,lord Mahavir , Padmawati mata, Sarawati mata and lord Manibhadrveer.

The Mandir/temple also has a paasara which has a hall which can fit 200 people accompanied by 3-4 rooms.The temple compound also housed a charitable homeopathic dispensary with a qualified doctor.

    SAVATTHI TRITH MINI RANAKPUR
  • Mulnayak: Nearly 126 cms. high idol of Bhagawan Sambhavnath in the Pandmasana posture.

    Tirth: At a distance of 4 kilometers from the village Bavla on the Ahmedabad-Palitana highway.

    Historicity: Under the inspirations of His Holiness Acharyadev Jinchandrasurishvarji Maharaj Saheb and His Holiness Monk Sharadchandravijayji, & Ajitchandravijayji this splendid new idol was installed on the eleventh day of the bright half of the month of Magh in the years 2046 and 2048 of the Vikram era. A shepherd of Bavla, Sheth Shri Chhaganbhai and the family of Gokalbhai Parmar, donated 18 acres of land for this sacred place. 200 ft. long and 108 ft. high and built on a vast piece of land, this splendid temple with 1111 pillars and 84 idols reminds one of the temple of Ranakpur. In no other temple, there is such a big sanctuary of 21 ft. by 21 ft. In few temples, the chief idol of Bhagawan is girded.


    Other Temples: There are no other temples.

    Works of art and Sculpture: In this splendid sacred place, there are six large temples :- The first temple houses the idols of the awe-inspiring Padmavatimata, Ambamata and Mahalaxmimata, the second temple houses the idol of Bhagawan Shantinath, the third temple houses the idol of Shankheshvar Parshvanath, the fourth temple houses the idol of Bhagawan Adishwar, the fifth temple houses the idol of Bhagwan Mahavir Swami and the sixth temple houses the idols of Gautam Swami, Sudharma Swami and Kalikalasarvajna Hemchandracharya. In front of this temple, there is Samadhi mandir of Sadhaviji Prashamprabhashriji.

    Guidelines: This temple on the Ahmedabad-Palitana highway is at a distance of 39 kilometers from Ahmedabad and four kilometers from Bavla. Bus service and private vehicles are available. This is a good resting place for pilgrims, Sadhus and Sadhvis going to and coming from Palitana. There are good boarding and lodging provisions. There is also an Upashraya.

    Bhagawan Sambhavnath



    It is a highly revered Jain pilgrim site located about 4 km from Bavla village. The temple enshrines a 126 cm high idol of Bhagwan Sambhavnathin Padmasana posture.

    There are 6 large temples in this splendid sacred place. The first temple has images of Padmavathi Devi, Ambamata and Lahalaxmimata. The second temple is dedicated to Bhagwan Shantinath. The third temple contains the idol of Shankeshwar Parshwanath and the fourth temple enshrines the idol of Bhagwan Adishwar. The fifth temple is dedicated to Bhagwan Mahavir Swami while the sixth temple has images of Gautam Swami, Sudharma Swami and Kalikalasarvajna Hemchandracharya. Samadhi Mandir of Sadhavji Prashamprabhashriji is situated nearby.

    Bavla Railway Station is on the Ahmedabad-Dholka rail route. The station is located to the south-west of Ahmedabad Junction Railway Station.

    Dholka Railway Station is to the south-east of Bavla.

    Savatthi Teerth is located nearby.

    Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport is the nearest airport.

  • Kundalpur, Siddha-kshetra with 63 temples, is famous for a beautiful statue of Bade Baba in Damoh district in Madhya Pradesh, India
  • Nageshwar Parshavanâtha Tirtha Near Ratlam MadhyaPradesh has a very big idol of Tirthankara Parshavanath.
  • Mohankheda Tirtha Near Jhabua (Madhya Pradesh) is very famous. It is the Swargarohan Place of Rajenedrasuri Maharaj.
